The Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in preparing journal entries, detailed reports, account reconciliations, and perform other accounting functions in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions- Prepare and/or review general ledger entries and present financial reports on a monthly basis, adhering to month end closing deadlines.
- Prepare or review ledger account reconciliations, including bank accounts, prepaid, and other assets, liabilities and equity, with a focus on the corporate entities and joint venture investments.
- Maintain and track records for fixed assets including buildings, leasehold improvements, furniture, and equipment, ensuring proper accounting for depreciation and compliance with regulations.Maintain the fixed asset ledger, performing monthly depreciation calculations, reconciling accounts, and collaborating with other departments to track asset lifecycles.
- Adhere to internal financial controls as directed by the Company’s Sarbanes-Oxley narratives, including bank, general ledger and subsidiary ledger account reconciliations, and procedures as required.
- Prepare and/or review the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting required by ownership and lenders.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of various schedules and supporting documents as required.
- Assist with various audits.
- Perform special projects and/or other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
- Assist with other team activities, communicating both verbally and in writing with other team members and property-level associates.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 0-3 years of experience in accounting.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate skills with Excel.
