Essential Job Functions
- Manage the new hire onboarding process.
- Update candidate records via company Applicant Tracking System to maintain current accurate information
- Extends job offers, initiates background checks, schedules new hire orientation attendance and communicates details
- Support recruiting processes with data and statistics for trends and patterns
- Use tools like Pivot Tables, Google Sheets, and HRIS systems to collect, analyze, and present HR data.
- Build strong relationships with local schools, colleges, and community organizations to foster a talent pipeline.
- Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
- Facilitate interviewing skills training, and other related trainings to support talent acquisition including covering new hire orientations when needed.
- Act as a point of contact for new employees during their first 90 days to support their transition into the organization.
- Facilitate new hire orientation
- Provide guidance, and communicate on the interpretation and administration of company policies, procedures, and programs
- Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures
- Monthly communication of transfers and promotions.
- Lead and coordinate employee engagement and appreciation activities and events.
- Coordinate associate wellness programs
- Perform some other administrative duties to support the department as requested by management.
Position Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or HR certification preferred
- Two years of experience in human resources, hospitality setting preferred.
- Strong recruiting and analytics background.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office.
- Experience with google suite preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Strong organizational and conflict resolution abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and resourceful thinking
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local employment regulations.
Work Environment and Context
- Requires sitting for extended periods, use of hands and fingers to operate computers and keyboards.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds
