Overview

Opportunity: Regional Vice President of Operations

HHM Hotels is seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Vice President of Operations to lead and oversee a prominent cluster of branded hotels across the Midwest. This individual will possess operational expertise, and will drive excellence in guest service, performance, and financial results across the region for their owners and the brands. The role will report to the Senior Vice President of Operations and requires regular travel to other corporate offices and assigned hotels.

Your Focus

  • Partner with above property and regional revenue and sales and marketing leaders to ensure maximization of revenues and profits, adherence to internal controls, optimization of productivity and a coordination of efforts towards achieving overall objectives.
  • Assist and direct property leadership in revenue growth, market share performance and sales initiatives in coordination with the corporate support team to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Communicate strategic plans and periodic financial results to senior leaders, owners and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards consistent with HHM Hotels core values.
  • Monitor the Capital Improvement process for the Portfolio and communicate to ownership the Capital Budget plan and any Emergency Capital.
  • Supervise development of and revision to hotels business plans and annual budgets.
  • Review and analyze financial reports, annual and monthly forecasts.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship consistent with HHM Hotels Core Values in the areas of setting goals, recognizing achievement and developing other leaders.
  • Act as the liaison with the owners of the properties by establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Travel to attend corporate meetings, sales trips and serve on committees.
  • Monitor quality assurance scores and/or guest feedback and communicate to and train general managers and associates accordingly.
  • Practice safe work habits.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills

  • Associate or Bachelors Degree in business, hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years previous regional director operations experience with a multi-brand portfolio of hotels required, including select and full-service properties required.

Work Environment and Context

  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 15 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Frequent travel is required.
