Lobby Bartender

General Summary

The Bartending team follows a sequence of service points to recognize, remember nuances of guests, educate/entertain them, anticipate their needs/wants and then make sure the guest feels thanked.  While they are part of a whole, the guest should always feel like they are being treated at a higher level than everyone else/anywhere else. 

Bar Schedule: Monday/Thursday/Friday 3:30-9pm; Saturday/Sunday 1-9pm, Closed Tue/Wed

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Creates new relationships between the Lobby Bar staff and guests.
  • Effectively able to craft cocktails both house & classics with proper technique.
  • Addresses the POS system after every order is made/every guest has a tab. 
  • Makes sure every transaction is executed as perfectly as possible.
  • Actively welcomes guests to the Joule Hotel and answers questions. 
  • Responsibly serves guests. 
  • Sets the bar for success before the shift & continually manicures work station during shift.
  • Communicates actively and respectfully with staff members/managing time efficiently.
  • Trains with management to learn more about the craft/spirits
  • Cleans at the end of the shift thoroughly.


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 Years of experience Bartending  
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and spoken.
  • Outgoing, Fun, Responsible, Mature.
  • Able to be on their feet for an extended amount of time, carry 25-50 lbs
